Land of Limestone Museum

   The Land of Limestone: An Indiana Heritage Exhibition features more than 200 archival and architectural photographs, historical news accounts, official records and documents.

   The exhibit features examples and photos of architecture and artwork from throughout the United States and the world made from limestone quarried here in Lawrence County and Bedford -- The Limestone Capitol of the World.

   The museum draws visitors and school children from across the United States and throughout the world.

   Exhibits are located on the first and third floors of the historic StoneGate Arts & Education Center facility at 405 I St., Bedford, IN 47421.

   The exhibit is open to the public, free of charge, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. year-round, excluding holidays.
