   On July 1, 2014, Oakland City University presented the historic Indiana Limestone Co. facility to the City of Bedford, which re-named the building StoneGate Arts & Education Center. OCU has provided quality, Christian education at the site since 1983, and has served Lawrence County at other area venues since 1977.
   OCU continues to offer associate, bachelor and master of science degrees in an accelerated format at StoneGate Center.
    Undergraduate programs include an associate of science degree in business administration; a bachelor of science in business administration, with concentrations in accounting, human resources or management; and a bachelor of applied science in operations management. Graduate degrees include a master of business administration and a master of science in strategic management. Online offerings include a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice.
   OCU is recognized as a military friendly school, and has participated in the Yellow Ribbon Program since 2008. Tuition is free for qualified veterans who have served 36 months of active duty since Sept. 11, 2001

New OCU Intern

OCU: Serving Bedford since 1977

   Julia Heatherly of Bedford has joined the staff as an Oakland City University intern.
   Heatherly is a graduate of Mitchell High School, Vincennes University and a 2018 graduate of Oakland City University, where she majored in communications. She began her internship with OCU July 30 and will lend her services to the school for the next 16 weeks. Her responsibilities focus on general office duties.   
   Additionally, Heatherly serves in the capacity as communications intern at Bedford First Church of God, where she is a member. She volunteers in her spare time.
   Heatherly joins Academic Program Director Cheryl Bolton and Administrative Assistant Doran Kruse. She is on hand at StoneGate Monday through Thursday.

  • Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Friday, 8:30 a.m.-noon; afternoons by appointment.
